Thanks to AWFF Community member Kaze, we now have some scans in the Final Fantasy 8 Amano Section of an upgraded quality. Due to the fact that a community member took the time to scan these we have put AWFF tags on them all, since unfortunately people seem to like taking our content and not linking back to us. ::Mephista::
Since the last update, quite few things have been done to the site in the background and I'm just going to talk about them all now. Firstly, I have added quite a few fan made wallpapers to the side, which can be found in their respective areas on the site. So a big thanks to all of the people who took the time to make them. Content-wise, I have also added 12 pieces of Concept Art from Final Fantasy XI relating to NPCs. So, expect some more FFXI Concept Art soon. We also have decided that its about time to try and spread the word about All World Final Fantasy once again. So we have joined up to a few topsites and from the looks of things, we're rating pretty highly in them, which can only be a good thing. Hopefully this will encourage more people to visit AWFF! Among the other updates, we have also added a few new links to the links page as part of link exchanges and we're also decided to invest some time in a topsite of our own, which can be found here. We are currently in the process of skinning it but hopefully it should look respectable in a short period of time. ::Mephista::
It indeed has been a while, from looking over this page I can see that my last real update was in March last year. However, ignoring the lack of updates recently and looking to the future. I still have many things that can be put up on the site and hopefully (now that I have some time) there will be updates more often to the AWFF main site. Since the updates have been so infrequent, instead of adding new content to existing areas, I decided to add some images to the Final Fantasy XII section. If you visit there now, you should find an updated main page, Wallpapers, Race Concept Art and some Magazine Scans. I hope that is enough for now. Until next time. ::Mephista::
Sorry, that really was a terrible joke. If you're a regular here at AWFF, you will have noticed my recent appointment to administrator, for which I am utmostly gratuitous to Lefty. As well as having more forum priviliges, I'm committed to keeping the main AWFF site up to date. With regards to this, I have immediately been around most of the pages, removing various bugs and just updating things that needed to be updated. In particular, I noticed that the Fan Review pages were nothing except plain text, so I re-applied the AWFF layout to them. I've also updated the Staff and Fan Art pages. The forums have been re-organised, with new categories and new moderators. Expect further change imminently, as the proposed AWFFv3 is back on track. AWFF Radio has been scrapped due to lack of interest and organisation, but the IRC channel is thriving following it's merger with our AdventChildren.net's (our affiliates) chat room. Some say I live in there, so if you ever need to talk about anything, you know where to find me. For the meantime, have fun. ::Nanaki::
Now that I'm home from university for summer break, I'll have a lot more time to update and work on the website in general. I've started by adding a whole batch of album covers and original fanart to the website, further expanding our extensive image archive. Specifically, I've added 8 images to our Fanart section, as well as 18 images to the album cover sections. In other news, Matto Tradagen has been promoted to super moderator on the forums, and the weekly poll has been brought back, as you can see. That's it for this update, but coming soon: AWFF Radio. More on that next time. Enjoy, ::Lefty::
Only a very small update this time. I added 15 new images to make a new section for Aeon Concept Art in the Final Fantasy X area of the website. That is all thats been added this time though, but stay tuned for more updates in the future. Enjoy ::Mephy::
I decided to do a small update, which saw the addition of 2 new pieces of artwork, which can be found in the FFX-2 Magazine Scans and FFX-2 Amano Conceptual Art sections. This isn't the only thing updated though, since I took the liberty of renewing a large majority of the FFVIII Nomura Art with images of a higher resolution and image quality. Enjoy ::Mephy::
I just took the liberty of putting some more of the fanart that we recieve up in the Fan Art Section. You can submit fanart by either sending an e-mail to myself or Lefty, or by posting in the Fan Art Thread, which can be found on the forums. We hope to see more fanarts soon :) ::Mephy::
Hi everyone, posted a few new things since the last update. There are a couple new FFVII Fan Wallpapers up, and a new Fan Review has been posted. Also, for those who don't know, AWFF has merged channels with affiliate http://www.adventchildren.net. The benefits of this are that the channel will be more active, and we will get to know people from their community better. New channel details are: Server: irc.irchat.tv (same as before) Channel: #FinalFantasy Hope to see you there! ::Lefty::
The FTP is finally working for me - albeit a bit slowly -, but I managed to get quite a lot of content updated to the site while it was working for me. Things updated include the FF4, FF5 and FF6 sections, which have all had a second page added to them. I have also added the first part of my FFX art archive to the website in the form of Character Concept Art. Expect more FFX artwork in the future. Overall, that brings the total of uploaded artwork for this update to 36 pieces. Enjoy ::Mephista::
Hi! Been a little tied down with classes as of late, so I haven't been able to make too many updates to the site. Since the last time I was in this space we've had a new mod, two new affiliates, and a fresh chatroom. So, to make it official: - Congratulations to Matto Tradagen, who was promoted to AWFF moderacy on January 13th. - AWFF would like to welcome OtakuDuet and GameTied as its two newest affiliates. We are looking forward to a long, healthy relationship as affiliates. - With the return of Nanaki comes version 2.0 of the AWFF chat. It is new and improved, and we are hoping for it to become far more successful than its predecessor. That's about it for the major news, we do have content that needs to go up sometime soon, as soon as either Meph, I or another of our content updaters is able. Until then, see you around! ::Lefty::
Things have been pretty hectic for me and this is the first opportunity I've have to do an update on the site and unfortunately it is quite a small one too, since the firewall at the University where I'm studying is a pain. Anyway, I have managed to upload 4 pieces of Amano Concept Art from FFX-2. Enjoy ::Mephista::
I have added some more album covers to the website this time they can be found in the FF5 section in the form of the cover and reverse cover to the "Dear Friends" arrange album. I have also added 15 pieces of Amano Art to the actual Amano area of the FF6 section (not sketches). This is only the first installment in this area of the site. More Updates soon :) ::Mephista::
I have added the first album covers to the website and they can be found in the FF4 section in the form of the OST cover. The front and back covers of the CD are there and expect more from other games to be up soon. Also added is the first installment to the FF5 Amano Art section, which has had 15 pieces added to it. ::Mephista::
I have updated the FF4 section and put 15 pieces of Amano art in it! I still have a bit more, which will be put up later though so don't worry. I also added some more FF5 battle images bringing the grand total to 30. I hope to add more and more artwork over the coming week since I won't really get the chance after that. ::Mephista::
FF8 at AWFF now has an amano art section, with 14 images added to the gallery as a starting point. Some of them are at low resolution though because they are the best that I could find, so if anybody has these images at a higher resolution then please don't hesitate to e-mail me. I have also added 3 images to the Nomura gallery, which brings the concept art total on AWFF upto 100! ::Mephista::
Two sections have been updated with Amano artwork. Firstly, a series of small sketches have been added to the FFVI section. Secondly, some concept art that featured on various covers (such as the FFXI Limited Edition OST) has been added to the FFXI section. ::Summoner Yuna::
Just a few minor content updates this time around. The Final Fantasy XII screenshots and magazine scans that were posted in a news article on the site awhile back have now been added to the FFXII section, and we have also recieved some very good FFX-2 and FFXII wallpapers from various contributors. As always, we welcome contributions, and are intrigued to see what are visitors can do. In forum news, in addition to the ongoing AWFF Super Hero Brawl, the 2003 AWFF Game of the Year Awards have begun, and members have until December 13th to vote for their favorite games on five different consoles before competition is dwindled down to the final 10. The 2nd AWFF Awards will also begin very soon. Another content update is planned for this weekend, so come back soon to see what's new! ::Lefty::
Again, it's been a while since our last "official" update, but that doesn't mean we haven't been working on things. Since the last time you heard from us: - New content updater Summoner Yuna has added 13 new FFIX Amano artworks, as well as 8 FFX-2 magazine scans. We're always putting up new content when we get the chance, and we'll let you know whenever something new goes up. - AWFF.com is now located on a new server, as you may have noticed by the slight downtime last week. The domain should be fully propogated by now, and things should be working properly. As always, report bugs to webmaster@awff.com. - The forums are now functioning on Invision Power Board 1.3 Final, more or less a minor codebase change and bugfix update from 1.2. IPB 2.0 Alpha 1 is already up for previewing, though it isn't expected to be released until sometime next year. See Invision Power Services' website for more details. That's all for this update; hopefully these will become even more frequent as December comes and our fall classes wind down. In the meantime, hope to see you on the board! ::Prince Lefty::
Not much new content since last time, but there have been a few changes in AWFF-land since we last updated. - We have a new staff member; Her name is Summoner Yuna, from Advent Children.net and Final Fantasy Extreme. She will be posting news as well as helping out with content updates. - We have a new affiliate: Advent Children.net. The site has a vast amount of news and media for the upcoming Square DVD movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. - The weekly poll has been weeded out; it was just too much trouble to update it every week, and we will continue to offer music and video files for download regularly. - The Links and Staff have been updated to reflect the latest information. There were previously a few errant links on the links page, and some incorrect information on the staff page. They have been fixed now. 'Tis all for now, another significant content update should come in the next week, so keep your eyes out! ::Prince Lefty::
I have been adding various bits and bobs since the last update and I've managed to put up quite a bit of artwork. I have managed to add:-
::Mephista::
I would firstly like to apologise for the lack of updates that have been going on. Lefty and I have been very busy lately, with having to sort out University places etc. This meant that we didn't have time to focus our attentions upon the site and so, we did not have the time to update it. However, I have found a bit of free time and have cleaned the site up a bit. All of the menus are now in Java, whereas before some were and some weren't. I have also sorted out some colouring errors that were happening around the site and I've added some new FFX-2 wallpapers. I hope that I can find time to put up all of the content that I have, so that I can share it with all of our viewers. ::Mephista::
As promised, the winners of last week's poll have been added as downloadable MP3s. Check out the downloads section for more details. Also, we have a new affiliate, Project Majestic Mix. Even more content will be added soon, come back soon for the latest news and updates. ::Prince Lefty::
As you can see by looking in the right column, the first weekly poll has been added. Vote for the media file you would like to see put up for download, and it will go up on Sunday. AWFF would like to welcome FantasySquare as its newest affiliate. We are very glad to have them aboard. That's the only major news in the last 24 hours, besides the addition of a website FAQ page. AWFFv2 is coming along very well, and we hope to see you back here soon to see what's new! ::Prince Lefty::
This is Lefty's first content update in awhile, but I've added a few things, so here goes.
As you can tell, the majority of today's work was on the wallpaper sections. Check back in the next couple of days for a more substantial update. ::Prince Lefty::
For the last month or so, Bowser, Mephy and I have been hard at work on version 2 of AWFF.com. It hasn't been easy, but we are proud to be able to unveil this new version today, June 21, 2003.
A lot of work still needs to be done on the site, especially content-wise. In the next few days you will notice the appearence of a poll asking what file you would most like to see up for download in the coming week. This is the new system for featured downloads, and should certainly be helpful. Have fun exploring the new site, and come back soon for more updates.
For an outline of the content added in this weekly update please check below. For a more detailed look check out each individual game section:-
This was a more thorough update than last time, with the site gradually beginning to take real shape content wise. AWFF v2.0 is in the pipeline, so expect that to be mentioned more in the future. Some of the bigger movies maybe permanently taken down and soon we are going to implement a new system for Music and Video downloads to stop us from going over the bandwidth. Mephista.
For an outline of the content added in this weekly update please check below. For a more detailed look check out each individual game section:- I apologise for the small update. Its been a tough week with having to get everything back to normal. A more substantial update should be expected next week. Mephista.
For an outline of the content added in this weekly update please check below. For a more detailed look check out each individual game section:-
Thats it for this week. Due to a few bandwidth problems (we've used a....lot) Most of the movies have been taken down, and a few of the MP3's will follow. Because of this there won't be any new MP3s added this month so the FFX-2 Music will probably be coming next month. Sorry! Mephista.
For an outline of the content added in this weekly update please check below. For a more detailed look check out each individual game section:-
We have also updated our forums to make them suit the site much more and if you haven't noticed we now have a nice new forums banner. It's really nice to see that the community still carries on growing and growing. In other news, we now have a new affiliate, Final Fantasy Legacy. I'll see you all next week for another fun packed update which is likely to include some FFX-2 music from the new OST Mephista.
This update includes content added today and the content added during the week. A brief outline of the content is as follows (click on the corresponding game link to see the media):-
This means that we now have a piece of media in every single game section and these will continue to be added to at the same rate (once or twice per week) We have also finally renevated the members gallery, so you can now actually see what the people on the message boards really look like. It's quite a small members gallery at the present time and we hope that more people will infact post their pictures! Thats about it for now...See you next Update!
This is the first of our planned updates. The next one will hopefully be on Tuesday or Wednesday. In this update some new content has been added and the new content is as follows:-
We have also added new graphics to menu bars. The are no longer boring tables with no boundaries! We are currently in the process of making ones for each Final Fantasy section so if the sections look a bit weird, bear with us. I also took the liberty of re-arranging the menus for the individual game sections, before they looked very cluttered, but now I feel they look much more pleasing to the eye. See you next Update!
In the last two days vast amounts of new content has been added to the site. FF1, FFX-2 and FFXI wallpapers have been added for both 800x600 and 1024x768 resolutions and as well as these new wallpapers, the loading time of the wallpaper pages has now been greatly decreased due to some new coding.
Since the last time the site was updated we have added FFIX sprites, FFXII concept art and music sections for both FFX-2 and FFXI. Don't look for too many big files to be up for download for the rest of this month, as we are in danger of exceeding our bandwidth limit already. I have already submitted a ticket to our webhost asking to upgrade my account, so we will have more space and bandwidth next month. Congratulations to all the members of the forum on exceeding 10,000 posts, it's been a long road. Look forward to more updates soon, thanks for visiting AWFF!
You have probably already noticed the newly added 'IRC Chat' link added just under the forum link. Courtesy of Nanaki, AWFF now has an IRC chatroom. The current applet is hosted on the starchat.net server; info on how to reach the chat through mIRC will be posted in the future. You might also notice the new banner and section headers, made by Bowser Madius. That is just the beginning of several design alterations/improvements likely to be made in the coming weeks. Those are the only real updates since the last time around, look for even more updates next time.
It has been about a week since the last update, and while there isn't much new content this time around, there have been a lot of things going on this week. Bowser Madius has joined the AWFF staff as a graphic designer, and he made the stellar splash page that you now see when you first access the site. The forums have been upgraded to IBF 1.1.1, which was merely a maintenence release. All bugs have now been fixed since the initial upgrade on Friday. The site has used over 500 MB of it's 5 GB/mo. bandwidth limit in the first two days of March, so I have been forced to take a few of the larger files down for the time being to alleviate the excessive use of bandwidth. Hopefully I will not have to take anymore, I will likely implent a system of rotating files before next month so that this issue does not come up again. Also, as you will notice, you can now find GameMusic.com banners in various places throughout the site. I have signed the site up for the Associates Program, through which I will recieve 5% of each referral purchase to help pay for the upkeeping of this site. Look for some new content with the next update, come back soon to see what's new!
Since the last update we have posted 30 new Final Fantasy I sprites, 17 new Final Fantasy VII wallpapers, and 10 new Final Fantasy X-2 wallpapers. There are also a couple of new news articles, and Extreme Tracking will now be including hits from the forums, so that will explain if there is a major jump in unique hits. Those are the only updates for now, expect another one in the next several days!
It's update time again, and this time we've added a fan fic by Crystal Rose, a fan review by Nanaki, and have a slew of new content ready to unleash to you in the next update. Among what you'll be seeing is concept art from Final Fantasy VII and VIII, as well as select movies from Final Fantasies IV-VII. I'll try the movies for awhile, and hope that my bandwidth doesn't explode. On another note, Final Fantasy Mages dropped their topsite, so they are no longer a member of our topsite family. There are still 4 members however, and you can check those out by looking at the scrolling marquee in the lower right-hand corner. That's about it for this time around, thanks for visiting AWFF.com, and come back soon!
The Final Fantasy VII and VIII sections are almost complete. I have added more wallpapers, more mp3s and more movies, and attempted to make some sections more user-friendly. The site has been getting a pretty steady amount of hits, so things have been going pretty well so far. Thanks for visiting AWFF, and stay tuned!
First update in over a week, but it is a pretty big one this time around. First off, you'll notice the game links located in the banner. Thanks goes to Mephista for the idea and Kanitha for the banner. I also reorganized the menus, making them a tad bit more user-friendly. I reformatted the reviews section, as well as adding the Final Fantasy XI opening movie. I look to start expanding the individual game sections next time around, and add some more sprites and sheet music as well. Look back here often for more details!
Life has been sorta stressful as of late, so I haven't gotten the chance to update as much. I finally have though, and among the things that have been added to the site are a few mp3s, the Final Fantasy X-2 boxart, and the Final Fantasy V OSV review, with some other reviews coming soon. We have our first affiliate as you can see, Squaresound.com, a wonderful FF music resource site. I also upgraded the forums to Invision Board 1.1 Final, and changed around the look of the first page of the forum. I haven't done much else, hopefully I'll be able to get more done by the next update. See ya!
I've gotten a lot of positive feedback since the launch two days ago, and I plan on updating this site as much as possible to put the latest info out there. The newest sections that have been added are Final Fantasy VI midis and Final Fantasy VIII wallpapers, and I've also added an interesting Final Fantasy X-2 trailer that you can download by clicking here. I am still waiting to recieve reviews from some people so they can go up, and the fan fiction section has yet to start up as well. I also joined 3 more topsites lists today, on which AWFF is doing very well so far, thanks to the visitors. Thanks for visiting, and come back soon to see what's new!
AWFF.com has officially launched, and while several sections are up, there is still a lot of stuff to put up. Many reviews are coming within the next week or so, and lots of content will go up in due time. Thanks for visiting, and come back soon!
